They appear to last for about a couple of seasons and after that they fade and disintegrate and rapidly look terrible. Last summer season, I was contemplating whether to keep them another season or throw them out with our community recycling program. I chose to chalk paint among them and see if that could restore them.

It appears that the paint remained on the chair and unbelievely it also didn't fade. I was able to retouch some areas with no color modifications. So, this spring I painted the other chair and now we have 2 beautiful seats that are now poolside. Hooray for Annie Sloan chalk paint.
